def. Hope – A confident expectation of the future

I’m talking to you today about speaking hope, every one of us has people in our lives that need to have hope spoken over them, like your children when you say I’m proud of you, you’re going to do great, – you have just spoken hope over their lives and future.

The moment you speak it, you release hope into their future.

Just like you pull back a bow and shoot an arrow you are releasing blessing.

You can literally shape their destiny through your words of hope.

One word of approval can place hope and destiny in some ones heart.

Think of some one who has done that for you.

Someone has spoken hope over your life, now who are you doing it for, don’t just have one-way traffic on this.

You have words of hope locked up on the inside of you words other people need to hear.

When you help someone else rise higher it’s a seed you are sowing and God will ensure there will be some-one to help you rise higher also.

People will rise to what you speak over them. Don’t say I won’t say it until I see it

So where can I give hope today or more accurately – to whom can I give it.

Bless someone this week with your words, express a confident expectation in their future.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (TMNT) 11So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it

So often we curse the problems of life and wish if only I didn’t have this need in my life how much better things would be.

I want to take a contrarian view to this thought, as we look through the pages of the Bible it becomes quickly apparent that the greatest heroes of our faith also had some of the greatest needs or were in some way handicapped by their circumstances. Yet we find out of their desperate need came the desire for a breakthrough for deliverance for themselves or others.
So often a need will produce frustration to the point of action that otherwise wouldn’t have happened.
Need is one of life’s great motivators its just how God has wired us up.

There was once a group of people who were in a church in Asia minor and they felt they had arrived, they had no needs that they were aware of – life must had seemed good, but all was not okay.
We read their story in Revelation 3:17 God is speaking to them through the Apostle John, he says
“You say I am rich; I have aquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked”.
Their lack of a perceived need robbed them of humility and dependence upon God as their source of life and blessing and gave them a false sense of self sufficiency even to the point of self deception. What they possessed God hated.

So don’t despise your need, it is God’s seed for a miracle in your life if you look to Him in faith for the answer.

There is always a test when you are believing for a miracle

Number one always look to the source of your miracle – that God

Secondly don’t cave into fear, – miracles operate in a realm of faith.

God will use your need for a miraculous breakthrough

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19

MIRACLES, – definition – Events which unmistakably involve an immediate and powerful action of God designed to reveal His character or purposes.

That’s one definition of a miracle, as I read the Bible I see miracles everywhere both Old Testament and New Testament, in fact take miracles out of the Bible and you would lose much of the wonder and awe of God.

Miracles accomplish what natural things often cannot in our lives, and God intended that to be so.

So common were miracles in the New Testament that the following statement was written -
Acts 15: 12 “Barnabas and Paul reported matter-of-factly on the miracles and wonders God had done among the other nations through their ministry.” TM

If you need a miracle today – pray, expect, believe open the door to the possibility of a miracle in your world .

Miracles can both deliver you from your problems, and also open the door to your future

My conclusion is that miracles were never intended to be separated from the working of God both in Bible times and also in modern times. God is God and he is still connected to his power and he still loves this world. But every generation and every individual must decide whether to embrace them (his miracles) or not.
