Guidance

Our lives need a purpose, a sense of calling that brings meaning to every aspect of daily life.

Within the context of being a Christian there is a call that comes from God and this call has far reaching implications for our lives.

There is one call from God but three aspects of that call.

1. The CALL to belong, – our identity becomes that of members of God’s family His children

1 Corinthians 1:9 says it like this -”God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ”

This idea, this call originates from God Himself, not us, we just have to respond to the invitation to belong to Jesus and His Kingdom – this invitation to be saved. Don’t leave the invitation un-opened RSVP today.

2. The CALL to be God’s people, – everybody wants to be something or somebody

Within this call is the “call to be free” Galations 5:13; the “call to hope to faith to baptism” Ephesians 4:4

The call to BE all that God intended you to BE in life.

3. The CALL to do God’s work; this call involves using our talents, gifts, occupations, roles, ministries – a call to service

Jesus had a habit of calling people to belong, to be, and to do (serve)

It says of James and John in Matthew 4:21 “Jesus called them, and immediately they……. followed Him”

Jesus still calls people to those three levels of commitment today – to belong, to be and to do.

Discover your best life by responding to the CALL
