Getting a breakthrough

Do you feel as though you’ve reached your limit ?

Your capacity to take on any more commitments is totally exhausted

Often we are tempted to complain to God about how stretched we feel.

Why doesn’t HE know where our limits our and how stressed we feel when these limits are exceeded.

Yet it seems God is just standing back allowing the pressures and commitments of life to stack up until we feel that’s it, – no more.

God though I find has a plan in allowing stretching experiences into our lives.

His purpose is for each of us to live a bigger life, which means bigger commitments but also bigger impact.

Jesus took 12 guys who didn’t have to worry to much about life beyond tomorrow and through a series of stretching and enlarging experiences turned them into men who would taken on the world and forever change it.

Scripture often speaks about being conformed into the likeness of Christ, but Christ had the capacity to take on the sin of the whole world, lay his life down then pick it up again and lead the way through for all of us to follow.

I usually find that it’s not peoples character or competency that limits them but their capacity

Then part of following Christ and being conformed into His likeness is living a bigger life and allowing God the right to continually expand and stretch our world until it is big enough for His purposes in our lives

A challenging thought to meditate on

Barry

Everyone wants more faith, ( who doesn’t ) but not everyone knows how to build more faith around their lives.

Many have had their faith destroyed.

Many people put their faith in the wrong thing

So many people seem to try and build faith through somebody else, – it doesn’t seem to work though.

Placing your faith in a person with a big personality and a strong charismatic gifting is not the same as putting faith in God, – people will let you down, God never will.

God always has to be the object of faith

I believe that real faith is meant to be tough.
Real faith can take the hard knocks.
But where does that type of faith come from, and how can we possess it?
When tough times come where is our faith centred?
I truly believe for most people - faith gets centred on the problem at hand.
Therefore the problem is the centre of attention and faith becomes a peripheral thing.
Our thought is – “maybe just maybe my faith might be strong enough if I’m lucky to overcome this thing”
With this outlook the mountain almost always will look bigger than any amount of faith you can muster up to challenge it.
Our faith has subtly become inversely proportional to the problem itself,  and therefore dictated by it.

Faith in faith won’t do it either, as I said in my last post - faith has to have an object, that object isn’t the situation we are facing, the object of our faith is the Author and Perfector of our faith – JESUS.

So if you have a mountain to move today get your eyes off the mountain and onto the object of your faith, a bit more time with HIM and a little less time worrying over other the problem is the Biblical recipe for GREAT FAITH.

“Look away from all that will distract to Jesus, Who is the Leader and Source of our faith” Hebrews 12:2  Amplified Bible
